IPhone 5 stuck at ‘Plug into iTunes’ logo

My iPhone 5 would not turn on properly and got stuck at 'Plug into iTunes' logo. I researched about it and one of the suggested solutions was to enter the DFU mode. I plugged the iPhone and it was not detected in iTunes. I turned it off and held the power and home for 10 seconds, then released the power while I continued holding the home but nothing happened. What should I do next?

Hi Crewe,
Connect your cable to PC after your phone is turned off. Start up iTunes. Then, plug your phone to the cable by holding down the home button on your phone, don't let go of the button until iTunes gives you a message that it’s detected a phone in recovery mode. Then restore your phone to factory settings.
Thanks,
Lee Kevin
