If I have a particular IP-based storage networking facility of half a TB and I would like to copy all data into another one with exactly the same capacity as the previous, how can I efficiently conduct a successful transfer?

To be able to conduct a successful transfer into another IP based storage networking facility, there are some requirements that you will need to ensure that are met including the following:

  • You will need to make sure that the IP based storage facility that you are copying the data to has at least the same space as the one you are copying the data from, or good enough it should have a space more than the one you are copying the data from
  • You will need to check also for the data protection and speed at which the new storage device operates, which should be better than the old one. Check if it is a RAID 0 (Striped) or RAID 1 (Mirrored) or RAID 5 for compatibility.
