InterVideo Decoder is not working with Corel winDVD 9 Plus

I am using Windows 7 and Corel’s WinDVD 9 Plus and Windows Media player 11. My Panasonic DMR-ES46V saving files in MPG 2 format. For playing those files I have installed InterVideo decoder which is suggested by the Microsoft. But it did not work. Then I downloaded the WinDVD 9 trail version which can play MPG 2format and it was working properly. When the trail version period had finished I have purchased WinDVD player 9 Plus and then I uninstalled WinDVD 9 and installed WinDVD 9 plus. But when I was trying to play the MPG 2 file it could not be able to open and play. Also, when I tried with the run command it was saying the file is not recognized or disk is not formatted. WinDVD 9 plus is not recognizing the file. I have another computer which runs with Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 and installed Media Player 10 and WinDVD 10 plus. It is playing the same disk without any problem. The only problem is with the card or something and everything is working properly. But the same file is not opening with the Media Player 11. I have also bought a Philips DVD drive and it is recognizing all formats. It is also working well with the trial version of Corel’s WinDVD 9. There is no update available for IVIVIDEO.  I think it is the problem of Windows not the Corel. I have searched lot of sites and forums to solve this issue. Nothing found useful. Please help me to get out of this problem. Thanks in advance for all the supports.

You have said that the application that is giving you trouble is able to work well on another version of windows which is windows XP, but when you try to use it on windows 7 it brings the problems that you have mentioned. What I will like to know is, is it the same version of the application that you are using on windows XP that you are using on windows 7? Because if that is the case, then the problem is as a result of compatibility issues. The application that you are installing on windows 7 is meant to work on windows XP operating system, and therefore you will need to search for the version that can be used on windows 7.
