I am using the HP Pavilion laptop with Windows 8 64 bit version. This is not very old just a couple of months. I am having issues with my internet browsing in this laptop. I am using 25Mbps high speed internet. I am using WiFi in mobile phone and it works so fast. But, only my laptop is taking longer time than usual. Multiple ways I have tried to resolve this issue, but no luck. Is this a problem with my laptop or any virus or internet sittings? Please help me to resolve this issue.

I suggest you try first to test your system's speed going to safe mode with networking. Just restart your laptop, press F8  four or five times quickly to enter to the start up menu. Choose the  Service Safe mode with networking. The system will go to windows in this mode. Just windows programs are running up in this mode, so go and test the internet. If the speed is fine this is a sign that you have a program slowing down your system. If not, maybe you have an issue with your WIFI configuration or the card itself.

If the speed is fine in safe mode, got to the system configuration utilities or Msconfig. You can start disabling one not a windows program at a time to find out which is the one slowing down your laptop
