Have you tried using other browsers, such as Firefox, Opera, or Google Chrome? Have you verified that you can log in to Facebook, using a different computer?

If you are absolutely sure the problem is with your copy of Internet Explorer, please try to clear the cache and all cookies of Internet Explorer. I would also suggest, you use install and use Ccleaner (Google for it). Once you install it, use it to clean all temporary files on your Windows PC. It will also clean up the browsing history, cookies and other temporary internet files, being used by Internet Explorer.

If the problem still persists, please try accessing your account from a friend's computer, preferably using a different browser. Another possibility is Malware infection. Scan your PC using your favorite Antivirus scanner. I suggest the free edition of either Avast! or Avira. Both are excellent free Antivirus software. Hope this helps.

If you are running on a server using a domain then your network administrator may not allow you to open some websites that are not relevant to you. So you need to contact your administrator to make it available. If you have a PC and you are running on window XP and not server involved then you can check your internet settings and check the restricted sites from your internet settings to make sure that Facebook is not added as a restricted site on your PC.

To check this go to START and then to CONTROL PANEL then go to INTERNET OPTIONS and select privacy here check sites that are not allowed on your computer and that are allowed on your computer. If Facebook is in not allowed section then you can delete it from there. Also you can add it to the ALLOW sites to be run on your computer.

Check your internet connection also for this purpose and make sure it is allowing all the traffic to your PC. To check where the problem is you can use this method also. Go to start and then to RUN and type cmd here in cmd type " tracert  https://www.facebook.com/" and press enter it will show you where the problem is and how you can solve it.

I hope now you have enough knowledge to solve your problem.
