Internet Connection Error when Upgrading/Downgrading BlackBerry Storm 9550

An error has occurred while downloading software for my device. Literally it is:

“Please verify your Internet connection or try again later, if the problem persists.”

For every upgrade or downgrade, Blackberry OS for strom2 9550, I always fail with that note. Can anybody help me to fix my problem? Please, help me.

First thing to do is to check on your Internet connection if its actively working or have been interrupted due to power failures or anything. If so, try to reset the router. If this is not the case, try to update your BlackBerry Storm through the Desktop Manager software. Ensure that it is already installed in your computer. Then go to BlackBerry Software Download site and choose your provider. And then perform a clean reload on your device. But be sure that you back up all your important data.

For BlackBerry Desktop Software 6.0 to 7.1

To perform a clean install, follow the steps below:

1. Click the Device menu and choose the Update option.

2. You will be prompted with a dialog box indicating that there are no updates available. Click View other versions in the bottom left corner.

3. Under the Available Versions, you will see that the present version installed is already selected. Click the Install button.

4. Untick the check box next to Back up device data.

5. Click Install Update.

If your BlackBerry Smartphone is running on BlackBerry 7.1 operating system or earlier, use BlackBerry Desktop Software 7.1. It requires Windows XP Service Pack 3, Widows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8. You also need to install Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1.

BlackBerry Desktop Software 7.1 will not work without Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1. On the other hand, if your BlackBerry Smartphone is running on BlackBerry 10 OS, use BlackBerry Link instead.
