Interface problems of Exchange 2010 and Outlook 2003

Hi,

No problem has been seen in connecting Outlook ’03 SP3 clients to the Exchange ’10. Those clients who are not using the Cached Exchange mode suffer from interface troubles. Outlook is unable to refresh items as soon as the user deletes an item from a folder. Pops up shown with an unknown error in the outlook as the exact file is being deleted once again. When any file in any folder is deleted then you go to other folder or drive and then come back to the file in that folder which you deleted then you will see that this file is again there. Could you please tell me why this happens? Thanks.

The problem here could be to the version you are using or there might problem to the database file that’s why you encounter errors like that. Closing the program and opening it again might solve the problem. But if the problem did not solved by that solution, updating the software might solve this. The program must refresh the record when you do, delete or edit, but in your case its not, so the function of the program for that is not working well and that means the version you are using do not do that function and you need to update it to latest version which I thinks solved that issue.

Hope this helped.

Hello Caspian,

Has Exchange been working well before you started getting that issue? If yes then you will need to try restoring its settings to what it had before you started experiencing that issue, just in case you made some changes. You can as well try restarting Outlook, or use an alternative outlook application such as outlook express.

Regards,

Nicke
