SQL Farm Combine is the first application developed by SQL Farms, after Microsoft bought their technology, for configuration management and deployment for SQL Servers. With SQL Farm Combine, SQL Server administrators are able to automate and batch SQL Server management tasks. Its version 2.0 gives database administrators the capability to automate project releases and manage a farm of SQL Servers, instances, and databases, just like a big single database. Furthermore, the tool supports scheduled rollouts and changes via command-line executions and deployment.
The distinctive feature of the latest release of SQL Farm Combine is the scheduling of certain tasks and processes by database administrators and users. These include scheduling of password synchronization, database object and code rollouts, and unattended system changes. Database administrators will be notified via email and message attachments when such automated tasks have been executed.
