Hi there everyone, can any of you please provide information on how to install windows 8 in the new HCL ME Tablet U1? In addition to that, give me some suggestions on the maintenance for my tablet.

Hi,
 
HCL ME Tablet U1 has Android 4.0.3 (Ice Cream Sandwich) as an operating system which works well in this tablet and windows 7 mobile edition can be installed easily in this tablet but it has the problem of hanging with windows
 
The windows 8 edition which you are trying to install is not meant for this tablet because in tablets windows being made for mobile edition will work properly
 
Refer to this article according to this windows 8 for tablets will be on sale from 26 October 2012
 
The front of the device has a 7-inch display that boasts of a resolution of 480×800
 
In terms of connectivity, The device has a mini USB port, a headphone jack, micro SD card slot, DC in and a full sized USB port

Hello,

It is possible to install windows 8 in your HCL ME Table U1 but i would not recommend you to do this at all. It can damage your device and it can lead to permanent memory loss. It has Android operating system, so you should be happy with that. There is a possible way to install but due to low memory your device will not be even able to start normally and this device doesn't meet the requirements to install windows 8. 

For maintenance of tablet:

1) Its better to clear and shutdown any unused app.

2) Use 'android assistant' once a week . It is a good cleaner.

3) Use electronic glass cleaners for clearing outer surface.

4) Always charge your battery upto 85-90 percent, not fully charge it.
