Hi. I am not very familiar with the HP Designjet 500 42 HP GL-2 card. I would like to know the steps for installing the driver on Windows 98. Please help me with the steps. Thanks in advance.
Hi. The steps to install the HP Designjet 500 42 HP GL-2 card require you to first insert the CD-ROM into the drive after which a Designjet setup window will appear on the screen. However, if no instructions appear automatically, then, click on start and run to run the .exe file on the CD. Menu choices will appear from which you need to select the one with install printer and then click on next to continue. Click on yes if you agree with the terms and conditions and continue further. From the select printer window that appears, select the HP Designjet printer which you have and then click on next.
Click on typical from the setup type window and click on next. Click on directly connected or connected to a network from the printer connection window and then click on next. Select the network which you are using if at all you are connected over the network and then click on next. Select the application software which you will be using in the type of applications window and then click on next. The installation of the driver will start after which you need to click on next to continue with it.
