Installed Graphic Card Not Working?

I just updated my card with a Asus GTX 970 Strix Mobo: ASRock Z97 Extreme 6. Everything seems to be working except my screen is completely black. Is this a defective graphic card? Or a bad installation that I messed up? Should I pull it out and try it again?

You are most probably experiencing a driver problem. To try and fix that, turn off your PC and pull out the graphics card and insert it back again. It that does not work, you should try re-installing your operating system with the card inside. This will enable the system to install and integrate the drivers of the graphics card.
