I got a copy of AVG anti-virus from this link http://free.avg.com/ww-en/download.prd-afh. I took a screen shot of the error dialog and attached it here. Did I download the wrong file?

Hallo Marianne,

To perform the AVG antivirus installation you will need to make sure that you have an active and strong connection to the internet. The installer needs to download installation files from the internet and install them on your computer. You should therefore do the following:

  • Check your internet connection status. Try restarting the router if the internet is slow.
  • You can as well just try restarting the computer and see if that will resolve the issue.
  • If you are using wireless network to connect to the internet then you should try looking for a spot that has got a strong signal for high internet connection.
