Installation error while installing crossfire

Hi to all,

I am using a windows XP 32 bit machine but when I tried to install crossfire, I ran into an error, and the installation failed.

The screenshot of the error is as follows:

Crossfire.exe – unable to locate component

The message states:

Crossfire.exe – unable to locate component

This application has failed to start because MSVCR100.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.

Has anyone else also encountered this problem also? If yes please do let me know, I'll be really thankful.

Waiting for your comments.

Regards.

Hi,

The problem you are facing is the program software you want to install. The crossfire installer is incomplete. There are some components that are missing including MSVCR100.dll. This application won’t start the installation even re-installing the application won’t fix the problem. Get and use another crossfire installer and make sure that it is complete and no other components are missing.

Best regards,

Some files of the software can be damaged and i think you should download a new version from online. You can delete some files from your computer and then you can try to install that. I think that will help you. Try this and solve your problem.

Have a good time.
