Hello,

I know I have Windows 7 installed but then I got this error message while installing Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Express for Windows Phone.  Any resolution for this error? 

Please help, I need to finish an application for a school project.

Setup has detected that this computer does not meet the requirements to install this software. These requirements must be  met before you can install Microsoft Visual Studio 2010.

Express for Windows Phone – ENU.

Requirements and Software Prerequisites

Windows 7 or Windows Vista is required

Although Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Express for Windows Phone supports Windows 7, this application is not compatible with Starter editions. All editions of Windows 7 are supported except for Starter edition.

So you need to check if your Windows 7 is not Starter edition because if it is, you need to replace it with other versions.

You can install Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Express for Windows Phone on a computer that runs on Windows Vista Service Pack 2 32-bit and 64-bit or Windows 7 32-bit and 64-bit platforms.

And just what I said above all editions are supported except for the Starter edition.

And also your operating system should also be in ENU edition or else it will also not work.
