When I ran vSphere client 4.0 installation on a Windows 7 platform, a terrific error occurred. I got the following error message, saying,

 “The Microsoft Visual J# 2.0 Second Edition installer returned error code ‘4113’ ".

Do you know how to overcome the problem? I am tired with several attempts.

Hi Halleleilani2,

To fix this, you need to uninstall first any existing copies of your Microsoft Visual J# 2.0 Redistributive Package. Just go to Control Panel then Programs and Programs and Features. When you are finish, now you can able to install VMWare client.

You have not clearly mention Windows 7 32bit  or 64bit. I use windows 7 32bit and install click VMware-viclient-all-4.1.0 successfully.

Follow below instructions:

First uninstall  Microsoft Visual J# 2.0 Redistributable Package. Then Restart your then Right click VMware-viclient-all-4.1.0-258902 setup file Select Properties then click unblock button in General tab. Then press ok

That's all now you can install VMware-viclient-all-4.1
