Before I offer my solution to boot from USB, you may try reinstalling CD drivers or even the Operating System. Installing from an USB is easy and fast. Run the Command prompt and type DiskPart at the prompt then type these commands in order: SELECT DISK 1, CLEAN,CREATE PARTITION PRIMARY, SELECT PARTITION 1,ACTIVE and FORMAT FS=NTFS. Having the contents of a bootable CD in your flash drive, you need to alter the boot order by pressing the BIOS hot “key” and enable boot from the USB root or a PNP device. The rest of the process is obvious.

You need a boot able program you run your setup you can use CMD or any other program for this purpose. One such solution is to run your system in Command prompt and then you can run the setup.

To do this press F8 key several times when window is loading at start and then when the menu for log come choose the Command prompt with safe mode. And press enter after this your system will go to the Command prompt mode now form here you can start your window setup by just going to the drive in which you contain the window and then running set up.

Let's say you have F drive as your flash drive then in CMD type F: and press enter then go to directory in which your window is stored and then run set up by typing the setup and by pressing enter. After this your setup for window XP will start which will guide you through how to install further.

I hope this will solve your problem.

You will need a USB Flash Drive with at least 256MB of space and a Windows XP Setup disk. And then download and install WinToFlash from the link below:
