There is Windows 98 in my old PC. I try to install Windows XP. But an error message in boot menu:

"STOP: 0x000000ED   (0x…….., 0x………, 0x………) UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME"

There are numbers on dots. Then second reported memory address is 0xC0000032. The file system is damaged. How can I install it now?

First of all check your system requirements and then you need to implement new window. If your system is not designed for XP then you can not install XP window to your system. XP window requires minimum of Pentium 3 processor and with a good RAM and VGA memory so you need to check them first  then you can install your new window. I can not say here how old your PC is but when you need to install any window then first check your computer resources.

If you already check your system resources and they match the requirements for your new window then check that you are properly installing your new window and it does not contain any error in your system. Check your window CD it working fine. Also check your CD drive and other things that are necessary to install new windows and i am sure you will be able to solve your problem.
