I am using Adobe Flash Encoder 2.5 to stream live video. I would like to know if it’s true that pressing the start button records the live stream going to the channel and pressing stop saves it?

Inquiry on Adobe Flash Encoder

Hello Betsy,

Yes it does, but to make it work you have to add in the parameter the following command:

"/autoRecord=true"  to the FMS URL in Flash Media Live Encoder so as the auto-record on a stream option will be activated in your adobe flash encoder.

Once you have configured the flash encoder, you can use the following so as to start live streaming by pressing the start button:

  1. You will need to Launch FMLE. And thereafter open your show's XML file by going to file and then clicking open file.
  2. You will then modify the input and output settings so suit you.
  3. There after you will connect directly to your Ustream channel. Do not open the web broadcaster from your account.
  4. Then delete the 'offer' which is found at the end of the Stream field.
  5. You will then have to press the Connect button which is found below the FMS URL and Stream fields so as to connect to the server.
  6. Done all the above, you then press the Start button to begin streaming live using your adobe flash encoder.
