Hello,

I have this error when I want to install this program. I’ve closed all the programs that the error says and is not working at all. I even rebooted my PC hoping that the programs will close automatically, same result. Can anyone help me please to fix this error ?

Thanks !

Lotus Notes/Domino or a Notes/Domino related process is still running. Please close it before pressing OK to continue.

To make sure all programs or services related to Lotus Notes are closed, check them in the Windows Task Manager. Press CTRL + SHIFT + ESC to launch the Windows Task Manager or alternatively press CTRL + ALT + DELETE. Both methods open the Windows Task Manager. In Windows Task Manager window, select Processes tab.

Scroll down and check every running program. If you see a program associated to Lotus Notes, select the program from the window and then click End Process. Select Yes when prompted to confirm the task. See image.

Once you verify that all programs associated to Lotus Notes are closed, try installing it again. If the problem continues, try doing the installation in Safe Mode. Restart your computer and then press F8 before the Windows logo appears. In the Advanced menu screen, select Safe Mode and then press Enter twice. When you are prompted, select Yes to continue working in Safe Mode.

Install the application you want to install. When it is finished, restart the computer normally.

Hello,

This weird and horrible error is because of the UAC on Windows Server 2008. The UAC control is rejecting the installer’s access to the required DLL file that will be upgraded. As the file is not accessible for the installer, it is assuming that other process is still on progress and asking to end the task first.

In order to fix this issue, right-click on the setup, select “Run as administrator”. This will allow the installer to have administrative right to access everywhere in the PC and apply the upgrade properly. Otherwise, you can disable UAC whenever you’re running the setup.
