Hi experts,

I got a problem with a message telling me to enter a numeric value for the minimum but I can’t increase the page file limits on my computer. What do I need to do? Any help.

Thanks.

Dear Scottnolan,

I wish you had mentioned the operating system whether it is windows XP or win7.

Perform the following steps:

  • In win XP, Right click My computer- click on properties- click on advanced.
  • In win 7 Right Click My Computer-click on properties-click on advanced system settings.
  • You will see a popup “system properties”.

  • Select the advanced tab, and from performance menu select settings.

  • Again, select advanced, and click on change.

Now click on the particular drive letter where the change is required, and on the bottom, check mark the “custom size” menu”.

This is the place where all the required page file is configured.

Please note, the minimum value is 16 MB and recommended is 5838 MB.

Keep in mind that the value of the initial size column and the maximum size column should be the same.
