Hello everybody,

I am facing a problem when I try to import a virtual PC2004 Windows 2003 Server VMWARE in WMWARE Workstation 6.0.2. This error message always appears which you can see in the below attached image. Help me please to resolve this issue.

Hello,

This is a very common problem.

Solution:

1. You first need to make sure that the VM is not actively running on VMware Server.

2. Also, you ought to make sure that VMware Server does not have a lock on the VM’s files. You have to stop all VMware Server Services and/or reboot the (VMware) server.

3. Finally, it is a must that you have required permissions to the VM’s files.
