Transfer files from one computer to another using Skype Server

I have two computers at home. Computer A and Computer B are on the same wireless network. If both are running Skype, and I transfer a file from one computer to another using Skype, does the first computer upload the content to a Skype server and the second computer downloads it from the Skype server?

Or, does Skype just use the router in place to transfer the file?

Thanks.

Hello Adeel_anjum,

The answer is Yes it does go to the Skype server. Since Skype is a program that needs to connect to the server in order to work. it will upload the file to the server from Computer A then transfers it over to the Computer B by downloading the file. Hope that solves your question.

The answer is YES. Both computers are running on two different IP addresses. So you can easily transfer data on two computers connected with same network.
