How would you define a good Exchange user account? Is there a specific length of time that we need to observe before deleting a terminated employee’s Exchange mailbox? Should we read their mail to check if there is something suspicious?

If you have terminated an employee then you should stop the mailbox, but if the employee was working in your office as a marketing or sales person then may be the mailbox contains some opportunity for your business. So, just watch for 0ne or 2 months and then if no opportunity comes then just delete it and make a auto responder against this account to notify people who are sending email there.
