I want to upgrade my built-in video card

I love to play games, but my video card does not have the capacity to play the recent titles.

I have a Gigabyte G31M-ES2C motherboard.

What video card should I purchase to enjoy playing?

The game I would want to play is z 2.

A lot of video cards are available these days in the market having different memory. If you want to play only this game, it requires only 512MB of video memory. However there are other games which require more than this. If you can buy a video card of video memory 1Gb that will be better. On it you can play a lot of other games too. I will recommend you to buy a video card of Nvidia and more specifically this model: EVGA GeForce GT 520 1GB DDR3 PCIe Dual DVI w/HDMI. This will cost you almost $50 but it is a good choice.

Starcraft 2 will run even if you only has 512 of video card. So I suggest that you buy a video card that is the same level of this. But if you really are a game fanatic, then I suggest that you buy a video card that is at least 1GB that has an available HDMI slot for future use, if you want to have a HD monitor in the future. Though video cards are quite pricey, it is worth it any way.

Also don't forget to check you slot, it could either be PCIe or AGP so make sure to have a look at the manual of your motherboard. Or simply remember your board model and the ask someone on a store which video card slot do you have.
