Hi! I want to remove Avira in my PC but I can’t. I always get a setup error saying “Setup could not determine the feature control file or was not able to read it correctly.”

This is so vague. I’m trying everything I find online but a simple answer here might do the trick. I’m counting on you guys.

Thanks!

Follow these steps to uninstall Avira anti-virus from your computer:

  1. Go to Start menu.
  2. Click on Control Panel.
  3. Double click on Add/remove Programs.
  4. From the list select Avira anti-virus and click Remove.
  5. Follow instructions until you click on Finish.
  6. Now restart your PC.

For Windows 7 go to Start menu > Click on Control Panel > Programs and Features > Select Avira from the lists and uninstall it > Restart your computer.

Hi, calvin,

The above mentioned way is the primary way to uninstall avira. But if it does not work then try my option.

At first download CCleaner and then install it. After installing it double click on the file and open CCleaner.

Then go to tools and from there go to uninstaller and select avira to uninstall. Select Avira and press uninstall.

That’s all you have to do.
