• Click Start Menu
• Select Run
• Type cmd and press enter

If you want to check D drive then

• Type D: and press enter;
• Type chkdsk
• And check the result on the screen as:
• If there is no bad sector then there will be a message as: 0 KB in bad sectors.

That shows you don’t have bad sectors in your hard disk. Now you have to perform some steps. Perform these tasks once a month regularly and you will check the speed of hard disk is really good.

• Run “check Now”.
