  • Writing an ISO image file to CD, CD-RW, DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-RW is easy in Red Hat.  Although you can install a 3rd party CD/DVD burning application, it is sometimes better to stick with the default CD writing program of Red Hat.
  • This a link to doc.redhat.com outlining in detail how to write files to CD.  The tutorial was originally written for Red Hat Linux 3 but the basic procedure remains the same.
  • For ISO image, you just right-click on the ISO file.  A "Write To Disc" dialog box will appear.  Click on the "Write" button, enter a CD/DVD disc when prompted and the file will be burned to CD/DVD.

Hope this helps!

I would recommend the use of ISO recorder powertoy its a freeware used to burn iso image on cd's.after you have downloaded the iso recorder then follow these steps:

  1. locate the iso image you have downloaded from the internet.
  2. right click the image and click copy or send re file to your dvd drive.
  3. now open your dvd drive you will see the iso file in faded form
  4. right click on it an choose write to cd.

Another way is to right click your cd dive and select copy image to cd and then select the iso file from the browse tab in the dialog box.
