I want to import pictures from Samsung Epic 4g to my laptop? had try to connect usb cord

to my phone and laptop but nothing happens ? help?

Hello Christinajstroud, to import your pictures and other files from a Samsung Epic 4g to your laptop using a USB cord and or your memory card you will need to follow the following steps:

  1. Make sure the memory card is properly installed.

  2. Make sure the USB mode is on Mass Storage

  3. Click on Menu

  4. Select Settings

  5. Select Applications

  6. Click USB settings

  7. Next choose Mass storage (select even if it is select already)

  8. Click on home key (this will send you back to home page)

  9. You will need to make sure the debugging is not check for the USB(to do so):

  10. Click Menu

  11. Go to Applications

  12. Click Settings

  13. The Development

  14. need to uncheck the following 3( USB debugging, Allow mock location, and Stay away)

  15. Next you will need to connect the USB data cable to the laptop

  16. The USB icon will appear in the notification drawer, bring down

  17. Now select USB connected

  18. Click on Mount

  19. On laptop a screen might automatic pop up or you can access through “My Computer” this will allow you to navigate to the Removable Disk that is to the device.

  20. You then can copy and paste or drag and drop the files you want from one location to the folder.

Hello Christinajstroud! Nice phone by the way. So what you are trying to say right now is that your laptop does not detect that you have plugged in a USB connection right? Here is what you can try, when you plug the USB connection in, check your phone’s status bar, it should give you the option to “Mount” the phone. Once you have done this, your laptop should now be able to detect the USB connection. If still it does not detect it, you might have to go into your phone’s USB settings and make sure that the option “Mass storage” is the one that is selected, and then try it one more time. You can also try other USB ports on your computer. Now if it really does not detect the USB connection, try your USB connector with another phone to see if it’s the wire. You can also send the pictures to your email and download the pictures to your laptop from there if you really need this done immediately. Hope this helps.
