Since I upgraded my windows, I am having trouble navigating and finding old tools and utilities. Can I switch to server 2012 classic start menu?

Yes, you can!
Just do the following steps:
First, launch the Server Manager. This is what’s causing your start menu to change. On the top right menu in the server manager, select Manage. Inside the Server Manager Properties, click on the small checkbox which says "Do not start Server Manager automatically at logon".
