I want to edit some drawings of old race cars. Can you recommend an easy to use image editing software? I want to add some designs to make those old card look new and presentable. This is one of my upcoming project for this month.

I have two options for you. Follow me.
First Option. If you want to make your old race cars new and presentable. Adobe Photoshop is the right thing for you.
Adobe Photoshop is the most widely use image editing program in the world. Although this program is a little expensive.
You still can try it for 30 days trial.

Second Option. If you want a Freeware that might solve your problem. PICASA software might be the right choice for you,
However, it can't edit like Photoshop can, but it's packed with bunch of powerful effects and presets so it could perhaps work the way you want it to work.
Download PICASA and try it for yourself. See if it can satisfy your need.

The first program you should think to use is Photoshop. It has many features, tools, filters… for your creation. You can make your new car get old, or an old car becomes new one.
The second program I think you can use is GIMP. This soft also has many tools, filters for your creation. However, unlike Photoshop, it is a freeware. You can download GIMP at https://www.gimp.org/
