It's easy to set up, but it only works on Windows 7.
You can use any size image as long it's within the supported image formats.
If you want a solution that works on operating systems other than Windows 7, you can get LogonStudio instead, which supports XP, Vista, and 7.
This program is somewhat similar to the one I’m using although it is only limited to just changing the logon screen and mine offers a lot more. If you are tired of seeing just the same screen every time you log in to your computer, then Logon Screen Changer will definitely change the screen you see.
If you think you can change the logon screen without using any tool, I think it won’t be possible because Windows doesn’t provide any option of modifying the logon screen just like changing the desktop’s wallpaper.

Both of you have given perfect solutions. From your post, I have obtained an idea that without using any tool I cannot change the logon Screen, for that I needed to download images or create my own images of a size that is smaller than 256 KB but this application is only for Windows 7 which is the one I am using now.
Guys, downloading from your provided link and watching your video tutorial was a very nice way to solve my problems.
Now I am able to change my logon screen background. Thank fellows especially to Sharath for helping me to change this since I was tired of seeing just the same screen every time on my computer.
