Hello. I have the Samsung S5230 Star that has a Class 12 (4+1/3+2/2+3/1+4 slots), 32 – 48 kbps GPRS and 50 MB internal memory. Does anyone here know the Samsung Star touch configuration for accessing my email and internet browsing? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Here are the steps to configure internet browsing in your Samsung Star S5230.
First, you will need to make sure that you have configured your internet settings or added a browsing profile.
1) Go to the initial screen
2) Select menu
3) Go to “Browser”
4) Then, go to “Settings”
5) Select “Browser Profiles”
6) Then select “Create”
7) For set name, you may enter “Internet” or however you want to name this browsing profile.
8) For access name, you will need to enter the access name given by your service provider.
9) Auth type = Normal
10) Type in your preferred User ID and password
11) Protocol = HTTP
12) Home address should be set to whatever you want it to default to. I would suggest setting it to https://www.google.co.in/webhp?gws_rd=ssl
13) Hit save
You should now be able to browse the internet using your Samsung Star S5230.
For setting up email in your Samsung S5230, here are the steps:
1) You need to know which email provider you will be using.
2) Once you decide on which email you want to access using your mobile phone, get the following information from your email provider:
a. POP3 server address
b. POP3 username (this is the username you use to login to your mailbox)
c. POP3 password (the password that corresponds to your username)
d. SMTP server address
e. SMTP authentication
3) Set up email settings
a. From the initial screen, select Menu.
b. Then go to “Messages”
c. Then go to “Settings”
d. Select “Email”
e. Go to “Email accounts”
f. Hit “Create”
g. Now, enter the information you got from step2 to create the email profile

1- To access your Email through Samsung star touch you should set up with your account.
2- From the menu-list choose Message and click settings for Email.
3- Then choose Email Setup Wizard, and enter your account details.
4- For Yahoo Incoming Mail server type(POP3) and the Incoming server: pop.mail.yahoo.com (port 110)
5- For Yahoo Outgoing Mail server type (SMTP), and Outgoing server: smtp.mail.yahoo.com (port 25)
6- For Hotmail Incoming Mail server type (POP3) and the Incoming server: pop3.live.com (port 995), you can log on through a secure password.
7- For Hotmail Outgoing server type (SMTP), and the Outgoing server: smtp.live.com (port 25)
8- For Gmail Incoming server type (POP3), and Incoming server: pop.gmail.com (port 995)
9- For Gmail Outgoing server type (SMTP), and Outgoing server: smtp.gmail.com (port 587)
