Hi guys. Can anyone here give a Rational Rose software review? I'm in search of a useful tool for designing test data generation with ActiveX support. I'm on Windows Vista 64 bit.

Thanks.

Hi Nelson,

"Rational Rose" is Unified Modeling Language (UML in the future text), and first was developed by Rational Software Co., now owned by IBM. It is object-oriented, and intended for visual modeling, often used for creating application frameworks. With ""Rational Rose" you create diagrams, especially engineering students are using this UML, and after you create the diagram, you can choose in which programming language it will be generated (C++, Java, Corba… ).

One of characteristics of "Rational Rose" is that it can be always updated with new tools.

It is useful at engineering, because engineers first can make model and simulation of some machine or vehicle that they need to construct. After making the model, they can add performances and see simulation of machines life cycle.

You can read more about this at: http://www.cse.sc.edu/~jimdavis/Tools/rational_rose.htm

Best.
