Hi Team,

I hope you can shed some light on the predicament that I have right now. I’m planning to start up a small call center here in my country. I’m almost done with all the set-up. I have an outbound client who requires a dialer for calling out to prospective customers. I got some news from a buddy of mine that I should try VICIdial. I have no idea about this software.

Do you think it’s good to use? What are its ups and downs? If you can give me specifications on it or alternatives that I could choose for the call center then I’d really be so glad.

Please help me out as soon as possible. Thank you!

Network Dialer Needed for setting up call center

Sam,

VICIdial seems to the popular choice nowadays for a small and emerging contact center company due to its scalability and small footprint. The application also seems to work best with Asterisk and can be configured for inbound as well. It can work in conjunction with online or online databases utilizing SQL and can also be configured with an IVR (Intuitive Voice Recording).

The only drawback I see with this application would be the utilization of multiple servers to handle the queue (inbound & outbound) but in the contact center business, setting up a server hub to handle this is essential and basic. And of course it only costs 65% less than the next best thing.

Happy Computing.
