I think I forgot my modem access code and I need to retrieve the access code file of my motorola modem. I am just curious if motorola modem access code retrieval manual is available online and if it offers a free download? Microsoft word or pdf form will do.

First you have to open the Motorola configuration page with- 192.168.1.254

Type in your AT&T email id and password in the user id

Click on the connect button.

Might ask you for the modem access code which is the 10 digit code at the bottom of the modem on the yellow sticker.

Once connected go to Advanced>>Connection Configuration and change the Connection Type to – Smart Keepalive, and under the LAN IP address settings select YES, Use public ip address and click on Save Settings.

If it prompts you to restart, do it.

The modem does not have a firewall so if you are not using a router, you could run a VNC server on the PC directly connected to the modem and you should be able to access your PC. Just make sure that any firewall on your PC doesn't block the VNC port.
