It has been almost three weeks I’m struggling the software for Trend Micro Internet Security. At the very beginning I’ve been faced with 1603 error message when I was upgrading to latest Version 5 from 3.51. The Trend Micro’s execution initially uninstalled my previous version and thereafter confront with 1603 error.

Lastly, I ended up with the remote support from Trend Micro. After being a lengthy online support and couple of attempts, we didn’t achieve the ultimate fruit. Though, they winded up the process by declaring that the Windows installed on my system has got some sorts of errors generating issues for the installation process.

But as a matter of fact, I’ve been through all technicalities to fix issues with Windows.

Bearing in mind my earlier statements as I’ve been through all the required steps to wipe out all sorts of bugs as well as configuring registry entries, no doubt, which is the initial step to get hand on it the time you confront with an error message.

I am in need of guidance. As per Windows statement, Trend Micro is already installed but it is not compatible with its rules. Though, straightforward this creating a puzzle for me and ultimately not allowing me to have done with the installation process.

Hi,

I understand your concern about the Trend Micro app. The reason of errors could be uninstallation of previous version of the software. Uninstall the new version. Clean your registry by a app called CCleaner. Then install the new version of that internet security app. It should not display any errors this time. If still shows, then it is an issue of your version of Windows indeed.

I would suggest that if the software you are using is installed but no programs or executable applications related to that software is available, try restoring your Operating System to a date before you have initially installed any trend micro applications. After that, install the latest trend micro application provided to you.
