I have installed Mustek pc line web cam w300 and is wondering if I have to download other drivers for it to work or the built-in driver on my PC is fine.
I have seen a lot of free drivers that I can download online and just wants to make sure which one will work fine with Mustek.

You can find MUSTEK web cam w300 driver which works fine on the official site of MUSTEK
If you have Windows 7 or Vista installed on your computer, just switch the compatibility mode to XP.
PS: Generally,there is no MUSTEKÂ driver pre-installed on computers. Since MUSTEK webcams are not built-in ones.

If you install a device in your computer or Windows system, it should be working fine it that device was detected by your Windows using generic drivers.
Many of new devices are made using drivers that have always something in common, but without the product or device specific features added.
If you do not need that much device specific add-on features and you are quite fine that it is working well enough, it should be fine without installing additional third-party windows drivers.
Or you can go to the product's support website to download the specific driver for that device.
