I have a problem with visibility

I have a problem with visibility of Active Directory users in Spice Works. My domain controller is already connected and I want to scan the users to show them as available, I can utilize the Help Desk features. Any Ideas?

Hello Leishalynn,

You can use the active directory scanning setting to allow Spiceworks check with your AD server to create and update the users so that you can view them. In case later on you may need to disable Active Directory scanning, then you will have to make sure that the AD scanning box under the active directory box unchecked.

If you need to use the Help Desk feature then you will need an email address so as to be able to update users on their tickets. And another important thing to note is that in case you set up Active Directory account with WRITE permission then Spiceworks will perform updates on the user's record using the email address provided. You can change that by configuring AD so that the account only has BROWSE privileges.

Hi,

Ensure that your system requirement and browser requirements meet the minimum required.You need to disable all your user accounts and set the passwords afresh. Then link each device to every specific users. The view the help tickets applied by each of the users. Then Access their user's profile or the information in the Active Directory. Then get your Active Directory account integrated with Spiceworks. Disable the Directory's accounts and reset the passwords. Then access the user's Active Directory profile. Set your employee and let them make popular their own information. You may now generate the IT reports of the users.

Check using the Active Directory accounts to see which devices are assigned to each person. In case someone forgets there password you can just click people view and reset it for them. It is an easy way of managing your staff and there work. I hope this will help answer your concern.
