I have a problem in my Windows 8 Lenovo laptop

Hello experts,

Few months ago, I bought this Lenovo IdeaPad 510P laptop. It is really a great laptop but lately, I've been getting errors on it. When trying to connect my mouse to the USB port, it won't work. But before unplugging it few minutes before, it was working perfectly fine.

Also, when trying to restart or shuts down my computer, it will take 15-25 minutes and the loading Windows 8 circle animation remains on my screen. What can I do to resolve this problem? I will be very thankful and will appreciate all answers.

Thank you.

Hi,

USB port might not be good enough. You might need to contact hardware engineer to get that checked so that you replace the USB port connector. That might be loose right now. Get that checked. For second problem, It might be that you have installed many software on your computer. As a result there might be many exe files operating all the time. There might be a lot of viruses as well. You need to check those and then the problem will be gone.

Solutions for your problems are as follows:

  1. For this problem first you see the “DEVICE MANAGER” in that go with the option “mice and other pointing devices”. If it show as an “Unknown Device” then simply DETACH THE POWER SUPPLY FROM YOUR LAPTOP AND PRESS THE POWER OFF BUTTON (It don’t really turn off your computer but your motherboard still gets the power)then keep the laptop idle for few minutes and then press POWER ON button. The small microprocessor on the motherboard will reload the drivers connected to mother board and your USB ports will work properly by recognizing all devices.
  2. As far as the second problem is concerned, we all install number of tools in our system as per our necessity. When this number increases the system might get slowdown. The main reason for this is the system runs all these installed tools or software’s at run-time only, as a result system start-up time also increases. If you want to remove these at run time please install the software Auto-Runs-for-Windows. After installing it will show all the list of software’s which are executed at runtime. Simply DESELECT all the useless tools by having careful watch at them. Definitely your system start-up speed will increase. Similar tool for the same problem is Win-Patrol-To-Go.
