I have an HDD partition problem

Hello,

I bought a laptop but there was only Linux installed on it. I put the Windows 7 DVD and I saw that my HDD was parted 2x150GB (the HDD is 320). I formatted one of them and installed Windows 7. But when I started, My Computer,  the other partition was invisible.  Then, I put the Windows DVD back and tried to format the second partition from there, but I can`t.

How can I use both of my partitions?

Did you try to delete the partition which got a problem? Or better, delete all created partitions and part them as you want. For the system partition, 60 GB are enough for Windows 7.  And if you can`t delete the second partition, and you see only 150 GB, better use your warranty.

Maybe there is a problem with your hard drive.

It worked!

Thank you so much. I was wondering what will happen if I click delete. I deleted both of the partitions and parted them as I like.

Thank you again!
