Hi Regina,

It sounds as though you are having an issue with the TCP/IP connection.  Try checking in the SQL Server Configuration Manager, then SQL Server Network Configuration on the App-V database SQL Server.  Once there, ensure that TCP/IP is enabled.

As always, ensure you have a connection to your server – try pinging it or log into it.  Also, ensure your protocols are properly set.

I hope this helps.

Hi there Regina Wagner,

The error you get normally shows up when the TCP/IP protocol is disabled in the SQL Server Configuration Manager.

You can simply resolve the problem by enabling the TCP/IP protocol via  the SQL Server Network Configuration. To do so, start your SQL Server Configuration Manager, find the section called SQL Server Network Configuration. Expand it and enable the TCP/IP protocol that stands next to the App-V Database.

You will most likely need to restart your system before changes make effect.

Best regards,
Drake Vivian
