Hello All,

I want to highlight on storage/OS related issue today. I am using 200 GB SATA hard disk in my environment. The disk has been mounted to Unix file system successfully. When I logged onto windows and telnetted the unix machine, I got mount error, But the mounting was done successfully.

Please fix my issue so that my disk will be visible.

Thank you very much.

Hello

You didn't provide us with much information. If you formatted your disk on UNIX then probably Windows don't recognize your hard disk since, by default, Windows recognize only Windows formats (NTFS, FAT, FAT32 etc).

Try to determine which format your hard disk is using and then search for plugin on internet which enables you to open given format on Windows.

Cheers.

Hi,

You need to explain better that what type of mount error you face. That helps to provide the correct solution.

I think this is something specific to your setup or this is probably caused by an interfering application

Or the file system may be corrupted (or the volume is unformatted).

To fix the problem you can use file system repair tools.

Thank you
