Hi Richard,

I have found a useful way for you. You could try by running a CMD window and doing the same maintenance plan. You have to copy the JOB properties to a text editor (i.e. trusty Notepad). Then edit it like the below:

C:Program FilesMicrosoft SQL ServerMSSQLBinnsqlmain.exe  -PlanID D9A91AB6-9D8E-40B3-9D11-625747E19FC5 -Rpt "C:Program FilesMicrosoft SQL ServerMSSQLLOGDB Maintenance Plan26.txt" -WriteHistory  -VrfyBackup -BkUpMedia DISK -BkUpLog  -UseDefDir  -BkExt "TRN"

Then paste these in the CMD.  After running the command, you will be able to see where the problem is occurring. Use the same account to do this.
