I have a request,
I have been working on a number of DVDs with varied timelines for a while now.
Having transcoded everything in the format that I wanted, I tried to build up the DVD using Encore and the below error message appeared on the screen.
Does someone know what the problem is?
PGC “Main Title” has an error at 0.6340s.
The aspect ratio of this file is not supported by DVD. – PGC
Info: name = main Title, ref = Cpgc, time = 0.6340s
Most grateful.
I get an error while building up DVD using Encore
The cause of the error is pointing to the aspect ratio of the video.
In video, aspect ratio means the video dimension or the size of the video.
For example, 128 x 96, 176 x 144, 352 x 288, 704 x 576, 1408 x 1152, etc.
Maybe when you are in the process of saving the video project you entered an invalid video dimension value for its DVD output. When creating a DVD, its aspect ratio should be 720 x 480 pixels.
Try editing again the project and enter the right value for the DVD’s video dimension.
And set the appropriate frame rate for the video. For PAL, 25 fps (frames per second) and for NTSC, 29.97 fps.
But most video editors set these values automatically so you will not be confused on what value to specify.
