I am using dial-up right now. It has become a hassle since I could not have an update on my Windows Defender. It says that the proxy server cannot be resolved. What should I do?

Are you sure that your dial up internet connection is able to establish a connection to the internet? And if it does, is the internet connection speed fast? When you are doing an update there are files that have to be downloaded from the internet and installed and therefore you should troubleshoot the connection status of your internet.

On your computer, check the internet identity button if it has an 'X' on it. If it does it means that there is no connection to the internet.

In case there is internet connection, check how many bars are there. Few or no bars at all will mean that the internet connection is weak.

Close the network and do a dial-up again and see if that resolves the problem with internet connection.
