I tried to install Corel Paint Shop Pro 4 in Windows 8, the installation succeeds but when I attempted to click on the icon to start the Corel program, It will not run. There is no way I can get it to run.

I tried installing Corel Paint Shop Pro 3 and got the same results.

I don't think your installer is the problem it is the operating system that you are using. Windows 8 is only a better version, it will be released sometime in 2012 so you don't have to worry with your software, worry with the operating system that you are using. Revert to a much stable and previous version of operating system.

Windows 7 is the first choice here and install the Corel Program here. Make sure to make an update of the operating system first before installing anything. Buy genuine Microsoft operating system don't patronage fake OS, because Microsoft has the tools to detect that your software is a fake one.

You need to find the target of your program and then from there you can access your program. You can just right click on the icon and then click on properties here you need to fine the target of your program so click on find target for the program. Once you click on that a new window will open with will show you where your program is installed. From here see for the icon that runs the program double click on the icon and you will see that your program will run fine.

The second thing you can do is to scan your computer with a antivirus program and see that you are not getting some virus in your program. Scan whole of your computer and see if there is some virus. If some virus is found then try to delete it and you will be able to solve that problem.
