Hello everyone,
Something strange happened to my computer last day. I am using Windows 7 Ultimate. I put some gadgets on it. The problem is that I cannot see them anymore. I don't know what exactly happened because it suddenly disappears.
I tried to put it back but still I cannot see it. When I put the calendar, I could see the X icon and option but no calendar and then the option won't work and nothing happens when I click it.
How can I get it back?or how could I make it work again?
Please do help me.

How to restore missing Windows 7 Gadgets
Hi,
Please follow these steps :

Go to Control Panel.

Then click on Programs and features.
-
Click on Turn Windows features on or off.
-
I suggest you disable, "Windows Gadgets Platform", then restart your computer.

If it is disabled, enable by removing the check mark from the box to its left, then click the “OK” button.

First of all are you using administrator account? If not either add the user to administrator group or assign rights to current user. Go to control panel, click administrative tools then local security policy. Click User Rights assignment check the setting regarding desktop view and gadgets according to current user. Also if you are using firewall other than that of windows check that it is allowing gadgets to execute. In that case try running gadgets batch file manually. Afterwards go to “control panel” then go to Windows 7 Gadgets Feature On or off and check the box “windows gadget platform”.
Restart the system now it will work.
