Hi techyv,

I cannot open my mms dog iPhone.  I am not an expert when it comes to this new iPhone 4s mobile phone device. My cousin texted me about his favorite dog and he told me that he just sent an mms in my phone, it’s been three hours ago but still I haven’t get the mms. How to configure iPhone 4s to get and receive mms files?

Hoping for your help. Thanks.

Hello Mellisa Wright,

Hope that my message finds you well.
First of all you should check with your network mobile company because they should send
you some specific settings for mms that you should save them to you mobile, if that thing does not work then
you should visit any apple store so they can set the mms settings

Hope this solution will help.
Kind regards,

Hello Mellisa,

I know it is a little bit frustrating when it comes to now receiving MMS shared by people close to you. Well, there are a lot of reasons why you can seem to receive the MMS sent by your friend. To be able to figure out what's wrong, if it's your iPhone or your carrier has the issue we need to test it out.

First, try to check if you can send MMS to yourself or to anyone that you can send it to. If You or the other person receives it back, then your iPhone and carrier setting were fine. Possibilities that there was an error from the sender.

If you are not able to send or receive MMS, you might need to contact your service provider to activate MMS feature on your iPhone. You may also need to check if your iPhone cellular data is ON, as most of the time it uses 3G connection, not Wi-Fi connectivity.
Once the MMS feature has been activated by your service provider, but seems to not being able to send or receive yet, check your iPhone settings.

On your iPhone, go to SETTINGS, then choose MESSAGES.
From that screen, just scroll down and make sure to turn on MMS MESSAGING.
Check whether the  CELLULAR DATA is ON too. That is in SETTINGS, then go to GENERAL and choose CELLULAR DATA. (It can also be under NETWORK then CELLULAR DATA). Make sure it's turned ON.

Before you test it out, do a hard reset on your iPhone. Simply hold the POWER BUTTON altogether with the HOME BUTTON until you see the Apple logo back on and release the button, wait for it to reboot.
When it rebooted back, try to send an MMS again. If it worked, you should be able to receive the MMS that was sent to you shortly, or ask your friend to resend it again.

I hope this helps you.
