I cannot install the software Ubuntu

Ubuntu is a new thing for me.

Via the software centre, I tried to install the get things gnome which I got from the Ubuntu software centre anyway.

Then I installed that before I installed korganizer.

I get the following error when I try to install get things gnome via the software Centre.

Why does that happen?

Error:

Package dependencies cannot be resolved This error could be caused by required additional software packages which are missing or not installable.

Furthermore,there could be a conflict between software packages which are not allowed to be installed at the same time.

Hi, Echua, your problem can be solved. The screen on your window states that you may be installing more than one software at a given time.

This will therefore cause conflicts with the software's since the software's in Ubuntu installation needs to be installed in a systematical order.

You may try uninstalling get things gnome then installing korganizer first to see whether it will work;

Another problem may be with the software packages in the synaptic package manager.

You need to solve this by going to System > Administrator > Synaptic package manager;

Once you open the Synaptic window, look for info about the available packages, installed packages, possible broken packages;

If you  find broken packages, choose other filters tab from the left hand column in the Synaptic window.

You ,may find the broken packages and from there you can select the packages to fix.

Select Edit from the top right of the window, this will provide an option for solving the packages;

Once you are able to fix the packages, you can restart your system and the installation can accept to work and function normally.

Thanks
