Do you have any antivirus software installed on your computer? Such as McAfee, Norton or Trend. For your information, antivirus software will save a lot of registry files which can create problems when installing a new antivirus program. If this is the case, you need to uninstall your previous antivirus completely. Log on to your computer on Safe Mode and then right-click on the Start button and click the Open Windows Explorer. Search for the Program Files and then go to the AVG folder. Double-click on the AVG folder. Delete the AVG folder. You will be prompted that one of the AVG folder could not be deleted. It means there are still files left on your computer. To remove it, open your Task Manager and then select Processes. Look for the AVG process and then right-click it and click End Process. Go to the AVG folder again and delete it. Restart your computer and try to install AVG 2012 again.

Well, when error code 2755 occur during the installation of the AVG 2012 you have to comprehend few things, that is whether you are logged in with an account which does not have the complete administrative privileges, If so please log in with proper administrative account.

Another thing you would be looking for is that, antispyware or any protection software you are using could block the latest modifications during the installation, so make sure to disable those software’s when installing the AVG.

Now you have to uninstall/remove the AVG completely, using the AVG Remover, by right clicking on it and selecting the ‘Run as an administrator’ option and make sure that it finishes completely. After that restart the computer and then remove all AVG files and folders (hidden included) in program files and other locations.

Now download the Free Edition of the AVG Anti-Virus from here and install it on your computer.
